A girl leaves a Nawiri session knowing what her body is doing, with pads for the month and, where we run the skills line, with something she can make and sell.
What a period is and what to expect. How to manage it at school. Then the life skills: relationships, communication, collaboration.
Sanitary towels, handed out at the session, so a period never costs her a week of school. 80,000+ distributed since 2019, by our own count.
Soap making is the model we run today. Girls learn to make a product that sells locally, and leave with an income skill of their own.

Through the places they already are
Schools, churches and community groups in Kenya's most vulnerable communities. The places already exist. We turn up in them, which keeps every shilling close to a girl.
